Perhaps people are actually beginning to take Mike Huckabee seriously as a contender for the presidency. At minimum, those who watched the Republican candidate debates this week got to see the Mike Huckabee that I knew and respected as governor of Arkansas. Well, they got to see him a little bit, at least. (I guess "equal time" doesn't apply at these debates.)
This exchange, in my mind, demonstrates Mike's ability to get to the point, to not get off-track by follow-up questions from reporters who don't listen to the original answer, and to put people with dumb questions in their proper place.
I love what Tom Beven says in this post: "In the last debate, Huckabee made an impression with humor. This time he did it with oratory."
Makes me think of Ronald Reagan.
