Character and Charisma on the Campaign Trail

Seems to me that anti-Hillary Clinton comments are everywhere while it's downright difficult to find anyone with anything (of substance) good to say about her. Maybe it’s her charismatic game face, the one she shows in public, that keeps her ahead in the polls.

Seems that glowing commentary on Mike Huckabee is easy to find and nobody has anything (of substance) bad to say about him. Could that be his exemplary character shining through? Too bad so many Americans don’t even know who he is.

I’d say that perceived charisma has trumped true character in the polls so far in 2007. Let's hope, for our country’s sake, that does not carry over to election day 2008.
